Ant Hill issue 14 debuts 2015 on www.anthillcomic.com/store. With cover art from Shane Logan a newcomer to the world of comics.He has been passionate about drawing superheroes since he was very young. He especially identified with Superman since they are both adopted. Growing up in Rochester, NY he would often go to his favorite comic store, Empire Comics, and the owner would always give him advice and tell him that he believed in him. His favorite artists and influences are Jim Lee, Kerry Gammill, Jim Aparo, Todd McFarlane, and Adam Kubert.
Throughout his school-age years, Shane would always get caught doodling in his notebooks rather than paying attention in class. Shane initially pursued a degree in psychiatry at the University of Rochester. However, he remained more interested in drawing than taking notes. After a couple of years, Shane decided that his true passion was illustration. He left Rochester, enrolled at the prestigious Ringling College of Art and Design, and earned a BFA in Illustration. He returned to Rochester to enroll in graduate school. His focus then was divided as he fell in love with coaching swimming, and he is currently a Head Coach for USA Swimming and Masters teams.
Shane recently returned to illustrating in 2014 when he started his own business. He initially specialized in drawing pets, kid portraits, and homes. He was invited to draw on Free Comic Book Day for at a local comic store, Comics Etc.,
and the bulk of his commissions is now superhero art! At Free Comic Book Day,
Shane met Nigel Carrington, and they discussed collaborating in the future. Several
months later, he have finally come together, with Shane to draw a cover for
Ant Hill issue 14.
